We allow a maximum of 200 follows a day. However, we strongly recommend focusing on finding quality friends rather than following a large quantity—Twitter is best utilised by making lasting and meaningful connections.
Tweet Roulette should be a familiar concept to those who have encountered the website Chat Roulette. After logging in and selecting topics of interest, users can send a tweet to a random FriendFury user who also shares one of the same interests. This is a great way to break the ice with a new potential friend! Tell them your deepest, darkest secret or simply ask who their favorite musician is. Stay on topic!
We have to leave a little extra space to accomodate your recipient's @username and to append ' via friendfury.com' to your message. The maximum characters allowed in a username is 20, and ' via friendfury.com' takes up 19 characters, consuming a potential total of 39 of the alloted 140 characters allowed in a tweet.
No. We do not sell followers and will actively remove any user from FriendFury who is caught doing so. Every follow on FriendFury is done manually by each user, and every user shown on the site must log in via Twitter. This site is a free service, but we do offer the opportunity to be Featured.
Featured users are shown at the beginning of the queue under the topics chosen for the account. For example, if @friendfury is interested in Programming and Design and pays to be featured, every user who logs and chooses either Programming or Design as a topic of interest will see the @friendfury card first. This does not mean the user must follow a featured user—we will never remove a user's right to choose who to follow or skip.
We believe quality users should be rewarded, and part of that means providing users with a way to skip over people who don't catch their eye. If you are shown a user who you think isn't up to par with what you are looking for, click the "X" button to skip over them.
Absolutely not. The only Twitter account we use is @friendfury and we will never offer any Twitter account up for sale. Any user caught doing so will be banned from FriendFury.
Some sites will provide "seeds" as a currency to encourage users to follow specific profiles. We think this sort of behaviour is disengenuous and that the only reason to follow someone is because you enjoy the tweets they write.
There is a small chance (under 5%) that a tip show up instead of a user. We feel this is important for educating FriendFury users on some of the best practices and to foster a certain culture on the site unlike any other.
We encourage you to spend some time getting to know someone by reading their tweets. If you still don't want to follow them, you will need to log in to Twitter to unfollow them.
