The core functionality of FriendFury is available at no cost and will remain as such for the foreseeable future. We do offer the opportunity to be a featured user, which is equally available to every user. Cost may vary depending on usage trends to ensure the service runs smoothly and fairly.
The purpose of FriendFury is to find new friends and acquaintances who have common grounds with the user. The aforementioned types of characters detract from the authenticity and quality of the site and we will remove anyone using FriendFury to spam tweets, follow users too aggressively, and those caught unfollowing users systematically.
You acknowledge that we are not responsible for the content encountered on FriendFury.com and that data is all publically available and pulled from Twitter.com's properties with their permission. We are obligated to behave according to Twitter's rules, so sudden feature changes or treatment to particular uers misbehaving is not to be unexpected. Just a warning!
We use the name for familiarity's sake with no ill motive and will gladly change our terminology if asked.
Don't be mean, don't do anything too stupid, and respect everyone else on FriendFury. We'll get along just fine as long as you try your best. Terms & Conditions are subject to change at a future date; it is your responsibility to check back periodically to ensure you are up to date on our policies. However, we will try to inform users when we make an update. This is a side project for us, so our goal is to make sure everyone has fun using FriendFury.
We cache Twitter names, avatars, user bios, and your latest tweet from the Twitter servers. This is to reduce our dependence on pulling data from Twitter and slowing their servers down, as requested by Twitter themselves. We won't do anything with this data outside of displaying it to fellow FriendFury user to help inform them when deciding whether or not to follow you. Depending on how much traffic we are receiving, we may or may not pull this data every time you log in. We most likely will not, so expect some of your information to not be 100% up to date. We also store your latest selected topics.
We will not force any users to present information they do not want to. However, some functions of the site are dependent on particular information, so we request that if sharing any of your Twitter data with the public feels uncomfortable, you do not participate in FriendFury. If this is the case and you have already logged in to FriendFury, please direct message us on Twitter @friendfury and request we remove you from our database. We will gladly do so at our earliest opportunity.
Under no circumstances will we sell any user's information to an outside party. This is something we will absolutely not compromise on. Frankly, it disgusts us that this needs to be said.
Our Privacy Policy is very basic at the moment. It is most likely going to change and be added to in the future, so make sure you keep tabs on it.
